Welcome! We are so glad that you are interested

There
are many benefits of working with a nanny placement agency like
ours. We want to get to know you and what kind of placement would
be just right for you. The families we work with are pre-screened,
usually through personal interviews in their own homes. We take
special care to help make a good match for both nannies and families.
We help families prepare a realistic job description and competitive
compensation package for their nanny.
Once you’ve selected a family
to work for (and they have selected you), we’ll assist in
putting an employment agreement in place so that you have a clear
picture of your responsibilities, and you can be confident that
the family understands their obligations as your employer. As a
nanny you will work as a household employee of the family that hires
you, but after your nanny placement, you can count on us for ongoing
support, information, and respect for you as a professional.

What does it cost a nanny to locate a
position through Necessary Nannies?
The only expenses you may have
are the cost of completing your background check and CPR and First
Aid Certification and any additional childcare training that you
may choose to complete or the family requests. If you haven’t
had a criminal background check in the past 12 months, you’ll
be asked to update it. Our referral service to you is free
of charge. The families we serve hire us to find wonderful,
qualified nannies for their children, and we work tirelessly to
find just the right nanny position for the professional nannies
who seek positions through our agency. Unfortunately, we are not
able to place nannies desiring to bring a child or children to work.
I meet (or am able to meet) the above
requirements and would like to seek a professional nanny position
through Necessary Nannies. What do I do next?
All you need to do is click on
the link to the
Nanny Application and Background Release forms. Complete the
on-line application or print out these forms and fax to Necessary
Nannies at 208-887-1194. Also, click on Nanny Portfolio Requirements
to see a complete list of items required for each nanny’s
file before she can be referred to a family.
If
you have any specific questions, you may call our office at
208-846-8411 or 208-631-2544 between the hours of 9:00 and 4:00
and we’ll be happy to help you. At that time, we may conduct
a brief screening over the phone.
After we review your application
and release form, if we choose to proceed, we will schedule an interview
time with you.
What kind of salary might I expect?
The salary you can expect
depends greatly upon your experience, references, and education
in the child development field. Also, the pay may vary according
to the specific responsibilities of your position. Taking these
things into account, you might expect to earn a gross pay rate of
$11-17 per hour as a professional nanny. Nanny pay is negotiated
directly with the hiring family/employer, and Necessary Nannies
may assist in the process. We strive to work only with families
that value the special contribution a nanny makes to their family
and are prepared to pay an equitable wage.
