Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 7:00a - 5:00p/5:30p (maximum 11-hour work days)

Candidate will support the children’s milestone development through communication, reading, playing outside, walks, playing at the park, and crafts/planned activities in a way that supports the daily routine and parenting goals.

Candidate would assist in getting the older children ready for school, pick-up and drop-off, preparing dinner, and helping with the evening routine.

Spanish speaking is a plus.

FILLED: Boise Camel’s Back Reserve Family Seeking Part-Time Nanny/Caregiver for Two Children

School Year Schedule: (Approx 26 hour work weeks)

  • Monday: 2:00p - 6:00p

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 3:00p - 6:00p

  • Friday: 2:45p - 6:00p

  • Saturday: 9:00p - 6:00p (1-2 per month, scheduled with advance notice)

Summer Schedule:

Family is seeking a fun, self-starter, creative, and willing-to-learn nanny/caregiver to care for their two children (ages 7 and 10 years old.) Primary care will be for the 7-year-old who has special needs/cerebral palsy, with occasional supervision for the older child.

The 7-year-old has cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, and developmental delays. He is verbal, ambulatory but developmentally about age 4-5 years old. He needs 1:1 supervision, assistance eating, toileting, and playing outside. Occasional seizures that require management and speech delays. He is making great strides and getting more independent all the time. He is an incredibly happy and joyful child.

Nanny/caregiver needs to feel comfortable taking the 7-year-old to therapy after school, as well as working on at-home therapy “homework” or play. Nanny/caregiver should be genuinely interested in the child's success.

Nanny/caregiver will help the older child with homework and occasional pick-up/drop-off.

  • Special needs experience is preferred.

  • 20+ years old with at least some college / completed degree in a relevant field.

  • Candidate should have the ability to clearly communicate about the daily activities, therapy, and recommendations (ie. organized).

  • Candidate will support the children’s development in a way that supports the daily routine and parenting goals.

Monday - Friday, General start times between 8 am-9:30 am (6 to 7 hours a day, 30 to 35-hour work weeks), with the occasional date night or weekend date day.

 

The primary care will be for the 2 y/o during the day, while the 4 y/o is in pre-kindergarten (Monday-Thursday, 8:00a-4:00p) until the older child returns home. Friday care for both children, all day.

No Screen Time for children.

**Flexibility with the start time is needed to accommodate the parent’s occasional work/travel schedule. The start time would be at 6:30a / 7:00a on travel days but would be scheduled in advance.

The family is seeking a reliable, organized, flexible, self-directed, and dependable candidate to assist with getting their children (ages 7 & 8y/o) ready in the morning and walking them to school on time. Candidate should have the physical stamina to be able to complete this walk every day.

The candidate would provide additional care for the children during school breaks, summer vacation, or should they be home for any reason (fewer household responsibilities during these times.) This additional care would include time outdoors, hiking, swimming, going to the park, walks, biking, and other age-appropriate activities.

While the children are at school the candidate would perform household tasks/management duties such as:

Candidate will help with getting the 5y/o to and from the bus drop-off, then provide afternoon activities at home for both children until the parents return. Candidate will transport the 2 y/o to swim/library/park time a minimum of two times per week.
